Thank you to Shelley Wilcox for CUEBC contributions

By CUEBC Executive

The members and executive of CUEBC would like to thank Shelley Wilcox for her many years of contributions to this important volunteer organization.  Shelley typifies the best attributes of a computer using educators.  She organizes professional development conferences and continuously advocates on behalf of teachers at all levels, local, district and provincial.  Shelley’s first major event that she organized was the provincial conference in Surrey in 2002 with Jamie McKenzie as the keynote.  In April 2004 she chaired the conference committee for ‘Learning Online’. The following year, the event became the BCEdOnline conference which she also organized.  Shelley has always been an innovated practitioner and has designed an incredible teaching tool to meet the requirements of the BC Graduation Portfolio.  This tool is now part of FirstClass in many districts.  Shelley is now the District Principal of Educational Technology in Abbotsford.  Although she is no longer an executive member of CUEBC it is certain that she will work tirelessly to provide the best possible teaching and learning conditions for all educators wherever she work.

Thank you Shelley Wilcox.
